Mr. Austin Milliken is the Co-founder and Managing Member of Aureate Capital. Aureate Capital is San Francisco Bay-based and provides early-stage cannabis, fintech, crypto, and entertainment companies advisory and capital raising services.

Mr. Milliken has 20 plus years of experience in trading, asset management, consulting, financial advisory, and capital raising. Most recently he has been working as an HNW investment advisor and portfolio manager. Additionally, he provides fractional CFO services for early-stage companies in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Mr. Milliken started his career at Montgomery Securities (Banc of America) on the institutional listed trading desk before moving to hedge fund portfolio management. The bulk of his hedge fund life was spent at Parallax Fund in San Francisco as a derivatives volatility trader and portfolio manager.

Mr. Milliken studied Economics at Columbia University, is a certified FRM, and currently holds Series 7, 63 and 65 registrations with FINRA.

Mr. Chris Cummock is the Managing Director of Aureate Capital. Aureate Capital is San Francisco Bay-based and provides early-stage cannabis, fintech, crypto, and entertainment companies advisory and capital raising services.

Prior to Aureate Capital , Mr. Cummock was an Investment Advisor at Tamalpais Asset Management, LLC. Mr. Cummock was the Principal for the Family Office Wealth Management and Investments at Cummock Asset Management. Mr. Cummock was the Co-Founder, CCO, and Managing Director at Onsa (formerly TokenValut and Vaultbank).

Prior to Onsa, Mr. Cummock was an Associate and Analyst and Investors Capital Partners focusing on relationships with counterparties which included all bulge banks for credit transactions, major brokerages for syndicate as well as day-trading operations to mitigate counterparty-risk for larger trades over $10M notional. Previously, Mr. Cummock served as a Senior Finance, Business & Data Analyst for Newbuilds at Royal Caribbean Cruises, Ltd.  Mr. Cummock previously worked with ThyssenKrupp, Cross Keys Capital, LLC in the finance sector. Mr. Cummock was a Paralegal at Jerome Reisman PA and a Development Project Manager and Real Estate Broker at Holly Real Estate.

Mr. Cummock has obtained his B.A in Global Business at the University of Southern California. He has also obtained a Master’s in Finance and an International Master’s in Business Administration from the Florida International University.

Mr. Cummock currently holds Series 7, 63 and 65 registrations with FINRA.

Mr. David Gutterman is a Managing Partner at Aureate Capital. Aureate Capital is San Francisco Bay-based and provides early-stage cannabis, fintech, crypto, and entertainment companies advisory and capital raising services.

Mr. Gutterman focuses on capital raising, strategic consulting and mergers and acquisitions for early-stage companies in a variety of sectors including cannabis, fintech, technology and alternative investments such as crypto, blockchain, Web 3.0 and NFTs.

Prior to joining Aureate Capital in November 2021, Mr. Gutterman was an investment banker and head of capital markets at MJC Partners in Los Angeles. While at MJC Partners, the Company was the most active placement agent for community banks in the Western U.S., ranking 1st in private placements (equity & debt) while he was there. Mr. Gutterman was lead execution on eight bank equity capital raise transactions for a total of $134M in deal value and seven bank debt capital raise transactions for a total of $99M in deal value. Mr. Gutterman also worked on 12 closed M&A transactions for over $470M in deal value.

Prior to joining MJC Partners, Mr. Gutterman was a financial institutions group investment banker for Sterne Agee in Newport Beach where he focused on mergers and acquisitions and equity advisory for bank and non-bank specialty lender clients. Prior to joining Sterne Agee, Mr. Gutterman was a technology group investment banker for Arbor Advisors in Palo Alto where he focused on mergers and acquisitions for private technology companies. Prior to joining Arbor Advisors, Mr. Gutterman worked with JP Morgan Securities in their private client services division and with Deutsche Bank in their structured finance division.

Mr. Gutterman graduated from University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business where he holds both a Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Science.

Mr. Gutterman, his wife Natalie, and daughter Eliana live in Manhattan Beach, CA. Mr. Gutterman most enjoys spending time with family, playing and watching sports and hosting events for his friends.

Mr. Gutterman currently holds the Series 7, 79, 63 and 66 registrations with FINRA.  

Mr. John Davis is Director of Secondaries of Shares Trading with Aureate Capital. Aureate Capital is an investment advisory and financial consulting firm, based in San Francisco, California. They focus on the technology, fintech, cannabis, and alternative investment fund sectors, and they are constantly searching for various disrupting propositions.

Mr. Davis priorly worked as financial advisor with Edward Jones, leader in the financial-services industry. They offer investments services that align with their philosophy of diversifying quality investments and holding them for the long-term. Their investments include stocks, bonds, mutual funds, CDs, annuities, insurance, Roth and Traditional IRAs, 529 education savings plans, 401k rollovers, SEP IRAs, advisory services, estate considerations, trust services and borrowing solutions and had 2.9 years. of experience from Edward Jones. Mr. Davis has also worked with New York Life Securities as a Financial Advisor for 1.5 years. Earlier to that, Mr. Davis worked with The Benchmark Company for 3.8 years in Institutional Trading and before that JMP Group as Director of Institutional Trading gaining 3.6 years of experience. Mr. Davis has worked with Jones & Assoc. as an Institutional Trading.

Mr. Davis also has experience with companies like First New York Securities as Trading, Bank of America Securities as Managing Director, Institutional Trading and Montgomery Securities as the Vice President, Institutional Trading.

Mr Davis had his education in Bachelor of Arts in Economics for Columbia University in the city of New York.

Mr. Davis currently has Series 7, 55, 63 and 66 registrations with FINRA.

Mr. Matthew Balaker is a partner with Aureate Capital LLC. 

Aureate Capital is a San Francisco Bay-based investment bank that provides capital raising and M&A advisory to its clients. 

Mr. Matthew brings over 15 years of experience in the investment industry and has participated in hundreds of transactions as an investment officer and portfolio manager. He speaks at several industry conferences, often discussing issues related to private investment funds. Prior to Joining Aureate, Mr. Matthew was a founding member of CAIA's Southern California Educational Chapter. 

Mr. Balaker holds the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designee and a BA in business economics from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He earned his MBA at the USC Marshall School of Business.
